Position: Summer 2025 Manufacturing Engineering Intern
Location: Damascus, VA
Position Overview: Assist in documenting existing manufacturing processes, tools, and materials and determine more effective ways to organize and present. Develop process improvements to assist in material flow, delivery, and procurement, which could include development of a pull system and supermarket for assembly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, document, and assess current manufacturing processes, equipment, and parts related to assembly and machining.
- Develop systems to help organize and present information more readily.
- Develop new processes to improve efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
- General manufacturing process knowledge.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Problem solving skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a program to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Available full time (40 hours) from June 2, 2025 to August 8, 2025.
- Ability to travel at the start and end of the internship.
